Project Goal

This was an independent project that I decided to do between my first and second year at university. I knew that my projects in second year would have a shorter timeframe I wanted to create something that would help me speed up the process while working on my future projects, so I created my own icon set!

I made all these icons be the same size and use the same line weights to keep all the designs consistent to ensure that they could be used together in one project and look cohesive. Before creating my icons I looked at some existing icon sets to see what the most commonly used icons were, for the project I was also able to used icons I had made throughout first year, I made updated versions of these as it allowed me to make them neater and more effective.

Included in this icon set I also made some of the most popular or common social media app icons, as it can be tedious to try and find versions that match and work with designs that I’ve created and doing this meant I could easily customise the icons to fit any brand or style guide that I create throughout my projects.

I plan to keep adding to this icon set as I create my projects in second year, so that I will have an even wider range of icons that I can easily use throughout any designs that I make.
